Welcome to the Kingman Elementary School website.  We are excited about all of the learning opportunities available to our students here. We are especially excited to take advantage of the technology that we have added recently.  Our hope is to increase communication with our students, their parents, and all of our patrons.  We want to encourage readers to visit our school in person or virtually online.  If you have questions or comments, we urge you to ask or share.

I have had the honor of being principal of Kingman Elementary School since 1998.  I actually was born and raised in Kingman and graduated from Kingman High School.  I earned my bachelors degree from the University of Kansas.  From there, I taught and coached for several years before earning my masters degree from Fort Hays State University.  My first administrative position was in Greensburg, KS. After living elsewhere in Kansas for about twenty years, I was offered an administrative position "back home" in Kingman in 1997.

Personally, my wife is a special education teacher working for SCKSEC.  We have four children, two girls and two boys.  Our oldest daughter graduated from KU and is in graduate school in WSU's Speech Pathology program.  Our youngest daughter  is an 9th grader.  Both of my sons attend college at Wichita State University.   I come from a "family of educators".   Both of my sisters have taught special education for many years.   My brother retired from education after teaching social studies at a school in Saudi Arabia for the past 17 years.  My 83 year old mother still lives here in Kingman and volunteers at Kingman Elementary School a couple of times a week.  How cool is that?

Speaking of volunteers, we would love to have more volunteers and as a matter of fact, we really need more to help us be an even better school.  If you want to volunteer or know of someone that does please contact us and let's get started.
